WICKEMEYER, Frederick William   - WWII Veteran  July 1, 1924 - October 18, 2018

Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital on October 18, 2018.

Devoted husband, best friend and partner of Sandra.

Fred leaves behind his sons Eric, Max, Fred Jr. and Bill. He will not be forgotten by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister Judy (John), sister-in-law May (John) and brother-in-law Grant.

Fred will be fondly remembered and missed dearly by his special friends, Diah and Hera Suter.

The family gives thanks to all the specialists at St. Michael's Hospital who attended to Fred's care for many years.

In particular, a very special thanks to his family physician, Dr. Ashna Bowry (St. Mike's) for her interest in Fred's health and providing such wonderful care bringing him to the age of 94 years.

Fred admired and respected Dr. Bowry very much.

A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and palliative caregivers at NYGH for their tender care and compassion provided to Fred these last few days.

Cremation has taken place and at Fred's request, there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
