LY, Mai 李慧敏 - (June 3, 1961 - October 17, 2018) - Our family and community sadly lost a pillar, Ms Mai Ly (May Lee) on Wednesday, October 17th after a long fight with ovarian cancer.
She dedicated her whole life to her family, as she left Vietnam alone at age 17 and sponsored her parents and 3 sisters over to Canada within a few years of arriving. During that time she attended college, learned English, and learned how to drive.
Mai later raised 3 daughters on her own. She found much joy in being a perfectionist work and was very well respected by her superiors. She also found great pleasure in her vacations and cruise trips. Mai leaves behind her daughters Irene, Jennifer, and Jessica, her mother, and siblings Michelle, Linda, Minh, and Amanda.
Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON, Canada, on Monday, October 22nd, from 10am to 11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am.
