van ABBE, Richard Herman - (January 22, 1948 - October 12, 2018) -
After a brief battle with cancer, Richard passed away peacefully with family by his side.
Richard came to Canada as a Vietnam draft dodger in 1968. He had a long career as a journalist, first with UPC and later The Canadian Press.
His love of the written word never left him.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Diane, and adult children Morgan, Simone (Leah) and Conor.
