Hyne DavidHYNE, David Alan - (March 16, 1970November 10, 2018) -

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in his 49th year, with his loving wife and best friend, Jody, at his side.

Cherished Dadoo to Keira, Charlie, Zoe and Lucy. Dear son of Jean Hyne (nee Neville) and the late Maurice Hyne of Essex, England.

Dave will be sadly missed by brothers Peter (Yvonne), James and sister-in-law Sarah.

He will be lovingly remembered by Jody’s family, her parents Karen and Ken Millson and her sisters Julie Treacy (Ryan) and Michelle Lavoie (Max). Many nieces, nephews and extended family will also miss Dave.

While we miss him dearly, we are comforted by the fact that his suffering has ended.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Kavita Algu and Nurse Alexei from Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at Mount Sanai, Dr. Ernie Mak, Clinical Nurse Trish Murphy-Kane and the staff of the palliative care unit at Princess Margaret Hospital who made his final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

Cremation will take place and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Dave’s life on Monday, November 19th at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto. Service to commence at noon, visitation one-hour prior, with a catered open house (children included) following at the Hyne household, 38 Columbine Ave, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Nanny Angel Network,(www.nannyangelnetwork.com), Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care (secure3.convio.net/mtsito/sit), or the Palliative Care Unit (specifically) through the Princess Margaret Hospital foundation, would be greatly appreciated.
