HARSHAW, Helen (Duncan) - Passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on November 8, 2018 with her family by her side.

Helen was born at the Moatfield Farmhouse on March 26th, 1927. She was the beloved only child of Gordon and Kate Duncan (nee. Burns).

After graduating from University of Toronto, Helen pursued a career as a chartered accountant.

In 1974 she married Bob Harshaw. Helen and Bob's had a shared love of art, which motivated her to leave her job as an accountant and open an art gallery. In 1975, Helen became the curator of the Palette Art Gallery in Oshawa, where she showcased and sold eclectic art pieces until her retirement in 2008.

Being an avid sportswoman, Helen held many memberships with local sports clubs. She was a member of the Toronto Ladies Golf Club, the East York Curling Club and the Fitness Institute for many years.

Helen and Bob were also world travelers. Having a mutual interest in history and culture inspired them to take trips to many foreign countries. Prior to their departure, Helen would meticulously research the country's landmarks and history to allow her and Bob to fully immerse themselves into the culture, creating lasting memories for years to come.

Helen will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Bob, and all of her friends and family.

A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto, at 10:30 AM Friday November 16th, followed by a Funeral Service, which will be held at 11:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. A reception will follow the Funeral Service, prior to the interment at Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision would be greatly appreciated.
