Fuller MikeFULLER, John Michael 'Mike' - Passed away after a lengthy journey with prostate cancer on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

Mike lived joyfully and refused to let pain or cancer define or control his life. He considered cancer a word, not a sentence.

Mike retired from his company in 2013 to focus on aggressively treating his cancer and to enjoy his family and friends and his most favoured hobby, aviation - flying, building, repairing and restoring planes.

His trusted colleague and friend Robert Martini took over the operational reigns and continues to successfully run the company that Mike loved.

Mike was a husband, father, grandfather, friend and pilot. He leaves behind his wife Louise, the love of his

life and constant support and advocate, and the children he was so incredibly proud of - Jonathan (Alexandra), Michael, Julia (Jeff), Jennifer (Mark), Christine (Rick) and Katherine.

Mike's grandchildren, Kaitlin, Madeleine, Hailey, Dahlia, Miranda and Dhiren will miss a very special "Papa" who delighted in his role of grandfather.

Mike's father Jack and his sister, Maureen (Wilf) predeceased Mike.

He leaves his mother, Millie, his four remaing siblings and their families, Janice, Bill, June and Margaret.

Mike also leaves longtime friends, recently made friends and a large extended family of in-laws that Mike treasured. Mike had a tremendous soft spot for the Brampton airport. He enjoyed this part of his life immensely, and despite many difficult days of getting around, there was a golf cart to transport him, a lazy boy chair to park himself on and friends to drop in to just "shoot the breeze."

He was grateful for his airplane buddies at home, and his second home in Mulberry, Florida. Mike did not travel this road alone. He had phenomenal care from Dr. Hormoz Hamrahi from the Dorothy Ley Hospice, Melissa his nurse but also from the staff of Princess Margaret Hospital. Dr. Nazanin Fallah-Rad, Dr. Jennifer Lau, Dr. Tony Finelli, Dr. Anthony Joshua (now in Australia), Dr. Roger Smith (now in England), Dr. Andrew Matthew, Dr. Roger Smith - all wonderful doctors with their fantastic, encouraging staff, giving Mike incredible support during his journey with cancer. Louise and all the family are so appreciative of this care.

Resting at the Newediuk Funeral Home, Kipling Chapel, Toronto on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Dorothy Ley Hospice or Princess Margaret Hospital are encouraged.
