RUSE, Mary Elizabeth - (August 21, 1929 – November 13, 2018) - Peacefully at the age of 89, predeceased by loving husband A. James (Jim) Ruse.
Cherished mother of Cathie (Ted) Ellis, and Allan Ruse, devoted grandmother of Jennifer and Scott.
Predeceased by parents James Allan Latham and Mildred Irene (nee Bertram), and brother William (Bill) Latham. Will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Betty Latham, and nieces Linda (John) and Carol (late husband David).
Mary made many friends through sports as a long-time member of Spring Lakes Golf Club, Mayfair Racquet Club, O’Connor Hills Tennis Club, Lawrence Park Tennis Club, and the Toronto Interchurch Badminton League. She and Jim were charter members of Donminster United Church (later Jubilee United Church).
The family historian and archivist, Mary was a keen member of the Scarborough Historical Society.
Visitation will be held on Monday November 19th from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd, Scarborough.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday November 20th at 11am at Jubilee United Church, 40 Underhill Dr, North York.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at The Wexford Nursing Home.
