DeLuca VeraDeLUCA, Vera (nee Di CESARE)  - Vera DeLuca (née Di Cesare) was born November 20, 1932 in Carapelle Calvisio, Abruzzo, Italy and died November 13, 2018 in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.

Vera died peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's disease, one week short of her 86th birthday - 10 months after the loss of the love of her life, Marco.

She is now reunited with him in heaven, along with her two sons, Vince and Enzo, parents Adele and Bruno and brother Bruno.

The Matriarch of the DeLuca Family, she leaves behind her greatest legacy and deepest joy – her family. Her children Josie (Gino), Geri (Dean) and daughter-in-law Iva (Vince).

Her nine grandchildren Lauren, Carlo (Alexis), Alexandra (Domenic), Danielle, Marc, Victoria, Natasha, Olivia and Elizabeth. Her two great-grandchildren Jack Vincent and Penelope Jo. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends and those who helped take care of her with dignity, love and respect over the last 5 years. In particular we wish to thank nurse practitioner Jonathon Garcia and the Sunrise of Aurora Seniors Residence.

Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel, 8101 Weston Rd., on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.). Interment to follow.

The family encourages donations in memory of Vera to Parkinson Canada (www.parkinson.ca) or to the SickKids Foundation.
