CHODIKOFF, Beverley (nee PETEGORSKY)   - We are saddened to announce that our dear mother, Beverley, died peacefully at home in Toronto on November 13, 2018.

Born in Ottawa, Beverley was the youngest daughter of Leon and Beckie Petegorsky; sister to the late Jeanette Pelcovits, Ethel Geffen and Dr. David W. Petegorsky.

In 1951, Beverley married Marvin Chodikoff of Troy, NY. They had 14 wonderful years together until Marvin's early death due to cancer in 1965.

With three young sons at that time, Beverley entered the workforce, completing the Canadian Securities Course and joining an Ottawa investment firm.

She was also active in overseeing the management of her late father's real estate holdings and remained an Ottawa resident until her move to Toronto in 2007.

Beverley was a lover of the arts. Her passions were music, theatre, classic films and mystery novels. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

Beverley will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion toward others. She valued family and the relationship she had with her sons as well as with her late sisters, brother, parents and close relatives. She was a loyal friend to many.

Beverley is survived by her sons, Mark, Richard and David (Tanya) and grandson Daniel.

In keeping with Beverley's wishes, there was no funeral service: interred next to Marvin, at the Ottawa Jewish Memorial Gardens Cemetery on November 15th.

The family wishes to thank the physicians, nurses, support workers and the staff and management at the Hazelton Place Retirement Residence for the excellent care and attention she received.
