Ricci JoeRICCI, Joseph - Peacefully entered the next phase of his life on November 16, 2018 at the matured age of 62 at Mississauga Hospital in Mississauga.

Born August 8th, 1956, in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Italy, Joseph migrated to Canada on April 1st 1967 at a the tender age of 10 years old.

It was about 10 years later where he met his best friend, soul mate and loving wife of 38 years Donna Ricci. Together they had two children, Jennifer Ricci-Perovic and Anthony Ricci.

Joseph was an avid golfer and made his way onto the greens any chance he could get. He also loved to test his mind by spending countless hours in silence working on his Sudokus.

He was given his favourite gift in April of 2016 when he was blessed with the title of Nonno after his first granddaughter Jacqueline was born. She was the centre of his world until his second granddaughter Juliette came two years later and he was forced to split the attention in two. He didn’t mind though as he had more than enough love to give and constantly bugged his own children for more and more grandchildren!

Joseph was a dedicated, hard-working man who held family and tradition at the centre of his heart. Those he cared for knew him as the unshakable pillar of advice.

He was father-in-law to Christopher Perovic and Tanya Cardella. Son-in-law to Teresa Giuliani. Brother-in-law to Kevin Mahoney, Gina Rosa and Carlos Rosa. Proud uncle to Megan Mahoney and Mikayla Mahoney and Christopher Rosa.

Lovingly remembered by his father Antonio Ricci and sister Michelle Mahoney.

Visitation will be held at G. H. Hogle Funeral Home, Etobicoke on Tuesday November 20, 2018 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 61 Jutland Rd. Etobicoke on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 10:00am

Joseph’s wish was for any flower donations to be made by immediate family only. In place of flowers, he would prefer your online or in-person condolences. If you feel so inclined, donations in Joseph’s name should be made to Diabetes Canada (https://www.diabetes.ca/) and/or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (http://www.heartandstroke.ca/)

Joseph, a message from your family and loved ones:

And when we need to think of you, we know just where to start.
You left with us a part of you, deep down inside our hearts.
