MUHIC, Maria (Mara) (nee VIZINTIN) - March 25, 1923 - December 1, 2018
Passed away peacefully, on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Dom Lipa Nursing Home at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Janez.
Loving mother of John (Milena), Margaret Turk (Zdravko), Mike, Betty Kolenko (Stan) and Marie Laforest (Jean).
Adored grandmother of Tom, Jennifer (Tom), John (Lauren), Robert (Jana), Andrew, Madeleine and Danielle and her great-grandchildren Benjamin, Maja and Kyle.
Dearly loved sister of Zdene Vizintin (Anne), Marjan Vizintin (Mili), Darinka Drobnic (Rajko) and Metka Matelic (Franci). Sister-in-law to Anne and Mimi Vizintin.
Predeceased by her brothers, Janez, Stane, Srece, Milan and Peter. She will be missed by numerous nephews and nieces and dear family and friends in Canada, the US and Slovenia.
The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Dom Lipa for their thoughtful care and compassion.
Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, Toronto, on Wednesday, December 5th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6th at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 739 Browns Ln., Toronto. Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd., Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Dom Lipa would be appreciated.
