Talbot JoyceTALBOT, Joyce (nee BARRIE)  - "Her Children will rise up and call her blessed..." Proverbs 31:28

Joyce Talbot (nee Barrie): precious Mum, Gramma, Great-Gramma, sister and friend went to be with our Lord Jesus on December 2, 2018, at Nanaimo Memory and Complex Care in Nanaimo, BC.

Last Sunday she enjoyed church with her daughter, the following Sunday she was worshipping in heaven with her husband, family members and friends who have gone on before her.

"Joycie" was a remarkable woman: full of love, wisdom, humour, strength and endless positivity.

She had the ability to inspire, support and encourage others through their challenges of life, through her words and the way she lived her own life. She lived a life fully expecting and receiving the goodness of God and in return shared that with others so that they too could understand His love… even when she had no words to speak.

A life-long follower of Jesus Christ, Joyce attended Eastern Pentecostal Bible College (Peterborough) and attended Evangel Pentecostal Church (Montreal), Queensway Cathedral (Toronto) and most recently Generations Church (Nanaimo). Joyce was predeceased by her soulmate Richard (Dick) Talbot; her sisters Lee and Ethel; her brother Lester; sisters-in-law Bea and Aileen; and brother-in-law Gord.

She leaves behind her brother George and sister Beth (Ritchie); her daughters Lee-Ann (Rob) and Patti; 8 grandchildren Ryan (Amber), Alyssa (Eddie), Kaitlyn (Rob), Grayam (Sara), Jeremy, Bethany (Sebastian), Monica and Kyle; and 11 great-grandchildren. We miss her terribly, but we are happy in knowing she is whole again...till we meet again.

Joyce will be laid to rest in Glenn Oaks Memorial Gardens in Oakville, Ontario, her Celebration of Life "Tea Party" sometime in the summer of 2019.
