Galloway MaureenGALLOWAY, Maureen Catherine (nee Sullivan) - RN, PHN, DCLJ - It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Maureen Catherine Galloway on December 15, 2018 at St Michael’s Hospital Toronto.

Beloved wife of Murray G Galloway.

Loving mother of Kerri (nee Duggan) (Frank Andreoli) and Michael Duggan. Loving stepmother of Ross Galloway (Liz Marshall) and Lynn Galloway Goboly (Nicholas).

Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Lindsay), Thomas (Danielle), Nicholas, Kayley, great grandmother of Sofia and step grandmother of Brody.

Loving sister of Carol Thompson. Predeceased by her parents James Sullivan, Adeline Sullivan (nee Mugan) and sister Geraldine Roblin (Sullivan).

She is a graduate of St Michael’s Hospital, School of Nursing. She loved working as a public health nurse in Durham Region with disabled children. She served two Lt Governors General at Queens Park as a volunteer and was awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal. She rose to become a Dame in the Order of St Lazarus. She also took an active role working with the Gardiner Museum.

“Moe” as she was called loved to entertain, travel, play bridge and was a sports fanatic. Elegance was her middle name. She had a wonderful sense of humour which she shared with family, friends and strangers alike. Above all she loved her family. She saw the beauty in everything. Maureen will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St., Toronto, on Tuesday December 18 at 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. The funeral will be at Jerrett Funeral Home on Wednesday December 19 at 10AM. Burial to follow in Thornhill.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Order of St Lazarus Toronto Commandery Hospice Inc. 119-660 Eglinton Ave Box 417, Toronto M4G 2K2.
