Denney GwendolynDENNEY, Gwendolyn May (nee JACKSON)  - Passed away peacefully on December 9, 2018 at the age of 93.

Beloved wife of the late William John Denney for 45 years.

Cherished mother of Ruthie, John (deceased) and Wayne (deceased).

Loving sister to Ruth (deceased), Francis (deceased), Kay (deceased) and Lyold (deceased).

Loving grandmother to Jesse, Patricia, Julie (Jeff) and Craig (Allison).

Loving mother-in-law to Myrna and Ruth.

Loving 'GG' to Konnor, Taylor, Alyssa, Megah, Emma and Hanna.

Great 'GG' to Aubree Codlin.

A special thanks to the nurses of 3 North at the Cummer Lodge Nursing Home, who always treated her with respect, kindness and care.

Gwen had amazing faith and she has been sent home to her maker. She will always be remembered for her kindness and devoted friendships that she gladly gave to others. She was blessed with an amazing voice and sung in the church choir for over 50 years. She also was a member of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and played the lead role in H.M.S. Pinafore as "Little Miss Buttercup".

After retiring from the University of Toronto, she followed one of her true passions which was painting. She became a member of the Willowdale Group of Artists.

Gwen was also a fabulous cook and baker and loved to entertain family and friends.

There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life at St. John's Anglican Church York Mills, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto, Ontario M2P 1H3, on January 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

Donations may be made to St. John's Anglican Church York Mills.
