WEAVER, Harry  - 1927 - 2019  Passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Queen's Garden, in his 92nd year.

Devoted husband of late wife Betty (Haworth) for 56 years.

Loving and proud father of Paul (Cathy), Jake (Birgit) and Tom (Giselle), proud grandfather of Harry (Kaela), Fred, Katie, Rachel, Daniel (Tomomi) and Andrea (Bert) and loving great-grandfather to Aiden and Aria.

Predeceased by parents Edwin and Luella (Schmidt) and brother and good friend Donald.

Missed by nephew Chris (Gretchen) and their children, niece Elizabeth, sister-in-law Dolly Weaver and her children David, Debbie and Dan. We will miss his kindness, quiet bravery, interest in people and explosive laugh. He loved family, sports, good books, fishing and cottaging. He played Junior A, College and Senior B hockey, football and baseball in his hometown of Kitchener and Waterloo (twice Ontario Champion).

His academic career included Honours B.A. at Western and Waterloo Lutheran, M.A. at Western and two years post M.A. courses at U. of T. Harry taught English at Runnymede C.I. for 33 years and coached hockey and football.

The funeral service, followed by a reception, to be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Charlton Ave. W., Hamilton, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Thank you to all the staff at Queen's Garden for kindness and compassion shown to Harry and his family.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to St. John the Evangelist or the Alzheimer Society.
