KAPLAN, Andree (Akerib) - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 after a brief struggle with cancer.

Andree was a great and charming lady and a friend to many who was lived and adored by all who knew her.

She was born in Cairo to Iraqi parents and after fleeing Egypt in 1957, lived in Italy for 2 years before moving to Montreal. Andree moved to Toronto in 1966 where she met her life partner, Sol Kaplan.

Sol and Andree were happily married for 37 years prior to Sol's death in 2003. Andree will be greatly missed by her extended family and circle of friends.

She is survived by her loving children Yael and Mark Wilder and Andrew and Amy Kaplan, her siblings Freddie Akerib, Remy Akerib, Saul Mashaal and Dina Gurgi, and her 5 living grandchildren, Samuel and Arielle Wilder, and Seth, Toby and Micah Kaplan.

Andre had a special bond with her first grandchild, Ben Wilder, whom she affectionately referred to as her "treasure pleasure". Andree and Ben have finally been reunited.

At Benjamin Park Memorial Chapel, Toronto for service on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM.

Memorial donation maybe made to The Andree Kaplan Memorial Fund With Funds, Directed To The Ben Wilder Foundation c/o The Benjamin Foundation.
