PATEL, Judith Ann (nee GREEN)  - 1938 - 2019  Beloved wife of Dr. Harshad Patel for more than 54 years, loving mother of Tracey and Lisa, proud grandmother of Trinity, Cassidy, Jameson, Lexi and Campbell, Judy Patel passed away on January 9, 2019 at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto following a massive stroke, in her 80th year.

Judy will be deeply missed by her family, sons-in-law Robert and Eric, sister Mary Brown, brother-in-law Graham, her extended family and her wide circle of friends.

Judy was born to the late Richard and Ida Green in March, 1938 in Newcastle, Staffordshire, in England.

While at Birmingham University she met Harshad, then in Medical School, and they married in Newcastle in May, 1964. In 1967, Judy and Harshad emigrated to Canada where they worked at the University of Saskatchewan for a few years before settling in Toronto.

She was the life partner and soul mate to Harshad for close to 60 years. She was a dedicated mother and friend to her two daughters and brought much joy and love to her five grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at Humphrey Funeral Home,  Toronto, ON, on January 16, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Sunnybrook Foundation, Critical Care Unit, 2075 Bayview Avenue, KGW-01, Toronto, Ontario M4N 3M5.

We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who cared for our wife and mother with such kindness and compassion over the four days she spent in the Sunnybrook Critical Care Unit.
