CAIRNEY, Sr., Hugh Rough - Hugh Rough Cairney passed away suddenly on January 10, 2019, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, in his 87th year.
Hugh of Meaford, formerly of Brampton, was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Brandon) for over 39 years and long-time companion of May Wright.
Loving father of Isabel and Hugh Jr. (Jane), father-in-law of Allan Mitchell, grandfather of Richard (Lorrie) and adoring great-grandfather "Gramps" of Bailey and Logan. Hugh was the dear brother to Robert, Rachel, Mary (Bob), Marion (Bob).
Predeceased by brothers John and Peter. Hugh will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Rosina McKendry, nieces, nephews, friends and extended Wright family.
Hugh imigrated from Scotland in 1958 and was a longtime employee of Canadian General Electric at the Dupont location. Hugh retired to Meaford in 1992.
Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, Brampton. Visitation on Friday, January 18th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation on Saturday, January 19th from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a Service in the Chapel.
