Zaza ChristineZAZA, Ann Christine - Age 64, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2019 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario.

Ann’s memory is cherished by her loving family, including her parents Jack and Cecilia Zaza and her siblings Paul (Frances Ruffino), John (Donna Rea), Peter (Lisa Smith), Jackie (David Pardy), and Christine (Paul Stolee).

She was a fun-loving aunt to nieces and nephews Justin, Jordann, and Kristen Zaza; Jenna, Jeremy, and Zachary Zaza; Jessica and Lauren Zaza; Erin, Samantha, and Lauren Pardy; and Hannah and Noah Stolee.

She will also be greatly missed by her beloved horse Gryphon and her many treasured friends at Abbeylara Stables, where she found her second home.

Ann was a skilled and talented writer, producer, and editor, working for many years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Her family and friends will remember her keen sense of humour and intellect as well as her kind, generous, and independent spirit. Visits from her were always a treat as she brought warmth and humour wherever she went.

Over her life, she was passionate about a wide range of subjects, including art, music, and tennis. One thing that never changed was her deep love for animals, especially horses.

Ann’s family is thankful for the excellent care she received at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton. In particular, they would like to gratefully acknowledge the care and thoughtfulness of Dr. Voruganti and Nurse Kim, and Dr. Hirte and Nurse Hilda.

A private funeral service for family will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
