Manns EllaMANNS, Ella (nee SHORTLAND)  - Ella Manns passed away peacefully on January 12, 2019.

Ella was born in Yeovil, Somerset, England, on September 28, 1913 and came to Canada with her husband Tom and two daughters in 1952.

The family enjoyed making memories at their cottage on Sauble Beach.

Ella and her friends enjoyed travelling together and later in life she spent many winters in Florida with daughter Carol and her husband Terry.

During a 30-year career in the Mirror Room at The Bay she made many wonderful friends. She was a talented ballroom dancer and could often be found taking in concerts at the Royal York Hotel.

Ella had a long, healthy, happy life and loved gardening and feeding the birds. Always stylish, she was never seen without her earrings and gold jewellery.

She took pleasure in spending time with daughter Jane, her husband Bob and their children. Ella's last 7 1/2 years were spent enjoying life at Gibson Retirement Residence in North York.

Many thanks to all the staff at Gibson for their amazing support and help. Also thank you to the CCAC for their care, kindness and assistance.

Ella is survived by her two daughters Jane and Carol and their families, including her three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. We will miss her love, care, warmth and generosity.

She will be loved and remembered always.
