WESTLAKE, Henry Mounfield - May 25, 1927 - January 13, 2019
With great sorrow we announce the passing of Henry (Harry/'Bo') Westlake.
Devoted husband of Marlene (nee Martin) for 67 years.
He will be greatly missed by children Dale (Paul) Melanson, Laurel Christie and Scott (Linda) Westlake; grandchildren Karen, Dara, Niall, Alison, Ella and Isaac; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his beloved grandson, Duncan Westlake. Bo loved to reminisce about his childhood in Parkdale and his years as an oarsman at the Argonaut Rowing Club. He captained the 1952 Canadian Olympic heavyweight 8-oared crew in Helsinki, Finland.
After retiring as Marine Manager with Imperial Oil Ltd, Harry and Marlene enjoyed many years of travelling the world and summers at the cottage on Lake Huron.
Husband, family man, friend, storyteller extraordinaire and a true gentleman.
Private funeral service to be held.
Donations in memorium, may be made to Children's Wish or the Toronto Grace Hospital.
