Martin JohnMARTIN, John David  -  Passed away in peace at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, after a short illness, on December 13, 2018, in his 71st year.

Predeceased by both of his parents and having no siblings or family of his own, "Dave" had formerly arranged for cremation and common ground burial at St. James Cemetery in Toronto.

Dave looked forward to a more eternal salvation and resurrection of his soul, with Christian friends in Heaven.

Dave served time with the Royal Canadian Army, after which he was employed by Trans Canada Pipelines.

Later in life, Dave returned to school, receiving his BSW from Ryerson and followed it with a MSW from the University of Toronto.

As a Social Worker, Dave began a new career working for the Edwin Gould Academy in New York and later for the Region of York Children's Aid Society.

Dave will be remembered for his love of sports, particulary lacrosse, as well as his interest in politics and the Theatre.

Donations to Dave's memory can be made to any charity of one's choice.
