Stavropoulos NikiSTAVROPOULOS, NIKI (nee GELINIS)  - Passed away peacefully on Valentine's Day 2019.

Niki was born on January 13, 1924 in Gavros (Gabresh), Kastoria, Greece, to Helene (nee Dimos) and Vasilios.

She was the second born of three sisters, elder Antonia Dimitrios and younger Olga Gelinis.

Niki immigrated to Canada with her mother in 1947.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Demetres Stavropoulos.

Together they had three children, Gregory, Billy and Sandra (Ron Martin).

Niki was a devoted mother and the greatest grandmother (Bobey) to Adam and Helen (Robbie Wilson). Niki was a remarkable woman, a hardworking pillar of strength.

She loved to tend to her garden and in her later years enjoyed watching classic films and travelling to many places including six trips back to Greece. Her memory will be cherished by her family for all time.

Although our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing she has been reunited with those she loved who went before her.

Family and friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E., on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave. E., on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow.
