MARCUS, Lisa Anni (nee Biskupski) - (April 18, 1936 – March 17, 2019) - Passed away in Thornhill on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Born to Karl and Anni Biskupski, Lisa grew up in Hamburg, Germany. In her early 20’s, Lisa immigrated to Canada, starting a new life in a new county which she instantly called home.
A loving and devoted mother to Andrew (Tatiana) and Bianca (Greg), as well as Oma to Katya and Dmitri, Lisa will be deeply missed and remembered as a courageous woman with an infectious laugh and charismatic smile.
Lisa loved to travel and was fortunate to see many places – exploring new ones and returning to favourite ones.
Her later years saw many challenges as she suffered the gradual effects of dementia.
A special thank you to the staff and care workers of Sunrise of Thornhill, where Lisa called home for many years. Their dedication and devotion to her care was second to none and is sincerely appreciated.
