JAMES, Donald Phillip - A kind and loving gentleman, who was born on May 12, 1922 in Santa Cruz in the parish of St Elizabeth, Jamaica, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2019 in Toronto.
Husband of Elaine of Toronto and loving father of Phillip (Emily) of Hamilton, Nigel (Nancy) of Brighton, Hope James Kumorek (Stan) of Toronto and Dale (James) of San Diego, CA.
Donald was the proud grandfather of Aprile, Shannon and Summer, Brenton and Teaghan, Nicholas and Kyndra and great grandfather to Edward (Eddy) and Zeus.
Our father was a quiet man with simple needs. He was a good listener and loved to sit back and watch his family. He didn't talk a lot but was always available for sound advice. His long retirement from the City of North York allowed him and Elaine many years in Florida, trips to Europe and Alaska and across Canada, a country he loved. We loved him and will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. West, Toronto, ON., on Tuesday, May 21st, from 2pm to 4pm, and from 6pm to 9pm, and on Wednesday, May 22nd, from 11am to 12pm, followed by Chapel Service at 12pm.
