STEFFENS, Reinhard (Ron) Hans Edmund  -  After a very long battle with cancer Ron passed away on May 21, 2019. He was born in Remscheid, Germany on August 6, 1953.

He was predeceased by his father Heinz Steffens.

He will be sadly missed by his loving & devoted wife Karen Steffens (McGowan), his mother Hanna Steffens, son Joshua Steffens father of adorable Corrinne, sisters Rose Chaytor (Toby), Monika McNeil, Karen Cameron (Ian), brother Peter Steffens (Darlene), stepson Shane Cosgrove and family as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

Travelling (especially roadtrips to the east coast), vacationing at a cottage, photography and time spent with family and friends were great joys in Ron's life. He will be long remembered for his self-taught woodworking skills. The amazingly detailed blue print free furniture and many other projects Ron created with love will be treasured by many.

Many thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, volunteers and all others at Stronach Cancer Center and the Margaret Behan Hospice; who played a role through his journey. A special thank you to his nurse Maggie Kaplan, for her compassion and dedication.

Friends and family are welcome at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home, at 157 Main Street South Newmarket, for visitation on Thursday, May 23 between 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. At Ron's request there will be no service.

Donations to the Margaret Behan Hospice would be appreciated.
