Dutcher AneitaDUTCHER, Aneita Mary Elizabeth 'Anita'It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Aneita Mary Elizabeth Dutcher – (known as Anita)

Born May 11, 1929 – Deceased October 29th, 2020 at Scarborough Grace Hospital with complications related to Covid 19.

Anita was predeceased by: Father - Preston N Dutcher - 1939 Mother - Violet Luella Hanna -1978 Infant brother 1934.

Anita was born and raised in Leaside until the passing of her father in 1939 at which time her mother and her moved to Belmore Ave. in Scarborough where she resided for the majority of her life. In the last five years Anita resided at Shepherd Village in Scarborough.

Anita had a long and successful career working at General Motors in Scarborough as a secretary and administration. She retired with 40 plus years of service. After retirement she continued annual luncheons with her General Motors work friends.

Anita attended the Wexford United Church in Scarborough until the recent disbandment. She was an active member in her church community and took great pleasure singing in the choir and participating on the pastoral care committee as well as many other social events. During retirement she enjoyed attending the theatre and going on bus tours with her dear friends Mary and Betty.

Anita is survived by her dear family friend Stephen Moss whom she was so proud to call an “honorary “ nephew. But those who knew her would say she was more like a mother to Stephen and his partner Gwen. Anita was an “ Honorary Gran Dutcher” to Erin Moss (Maisie), Matthew Moss (Kaitlyn) and Lindsey Hanson (Rob, Everett and Sullivan) Anita was a devoted daughter, Aunt, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and friend to all.

Her family meant the world to her. Those who knew her would say she was a kind, loving and generous lady to all who needed it.

A private family celebration of life will be held. Anita will be laid to rest at the Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery - date TBD. Arrangements with Paul O'Connor funeral home.

Memorial Donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Sick Kids Foundation.
