Rodriguez MarioRODRIGUEZ, Mario - Passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020.

Our dad Mario, just as our mom Elsa wished for a simple ceremony.

Since our mom's passing two weeks ago, his heart was broken, and he wanted to be with the love of his life for the past 65+ years.

His life was full, his love for mom and all his children, grand children, and his great grandchild, was unconditional.

The void is unimaginable and can not even be described. Our mom was the love of his life, he was always there for his grandchildren who enjoyed his optimistic view of life and his good sense of humour, always witty.
His love for mom was his life, nevertheless he also loved his five children, Maria Fernanda, Mario J, Mari, Gabriel, Elsita, Liliana, Melanie, and Lucas. The immense and unconditional love for his grandchildren Daniel , Amanda, Juliana, Michelle , Victor, Santiago, Alex, Jordan, Josh, Sydney, Ashley and his great grandchild, Nicholas, "Nico" who made him smile till the end. He touched us all and left us great memories.

Pa, dad, papa, grandpa, Tete, Ewelo, Maco, “el jefe"...many names, just one of him, and like mom, will live in our hearts everyday. He will give us, together with mom, the strength to overcome anything and get us through this sad time. He could only live two weeks without her! Now he will continue with mom for eternity, as they always did, encouraging all of us to be the best we can, during very difficult and uncertain times. Never complained, never faltered, always amazing and he loved everyone with all his heart.

Arrangements with Marshall Funeral Home. Given the trying and uncertain times, and our desire for everyone’s safety, we will have a Private visitation and Private Service (just family).

Service will be held on Thursday November 5, 2020 at 10:30 Toronto time (EST). (10:30 am in Colombia, 12:30 pm Chile, France 4:30 pm)

We thank everyone for your kind and positive thoughts, and beautiful notes that we have received, as well as all expressions of sympathy for our Dad Mario, as we received for our Mom Elsa.

We have had two unimaginable losses in the last three weeks, two huge blows, however, we are trying to see it as a beautiful love story, where my dad couldn't live without my mom, and he simply went to her to be once again together, for eternity, knowing that, will make it more bearable and we will keep them in our hearts forever. How lucky we were to have them!.
