COOLEY, Robert – (March 3, 1963 – November 9, 2020) - Born in Paisley, Scotland, passed away peacefully at Mississauga Hospital.
Son of the late Robert & Catherine Cooley of Barrie, Ontario. Dear brother to Boyd (Carol) and Jacqueline (Hugo). Nephew of Nanette and the late John Beaton, cousin to Eleanor, Kay and Ian, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
At an early age Robert discovered his love of literature and the written word. He spent his time enjoying the works of the world’s greatest writers. He had a natural flair at creative writing, composing essays, short stories and a novel over the years.
Having studied journalism in Toronto and Ottawa, he put this knowledge and his skills to work in print, television, and radio media. His career also included teaching communications for which he received high praise from his students and their families.
Robert embraced adventure and travel, having visited the places he found interesting. While there, he would always connect deeply with people and develop lasting friendships.
The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors who cared for Robert while at Mississauga Hospital.
Arrangements with Rosar-Morrison funeral home, Toronto. At Robert’s request, there will be no funeral service.
