POSLUNS, Irving Albert - Passed away peacefully on November 10, 2020.

He leaves behind, and will be greatly missed by, his beloved partner Joanna Kim, children Jeffery and Melanie, Joel and Lyn, Gail and Bernard, grandchildren Marc and Melanie, Leah and James, Emma and Ryan, Simon, Samantha and Michael, Max and Molly, and great-grandchildren Gretchen, Louisa, Cohen and Ada.

He is predeceased by brothers Wilfred and Jack.

Irving Posluns was born in Toronto in 1924, received his degree in Business from the University of Toronto and spent most of his life working in the fashion clothing industry- founding well-known Irving Posluns Sportswear and co-founding one of Canada's largest retailers Dylex Limited.

At an early age his parents gave him a camera and since taking and developing his first pictures he devotedly practiced this much-loved craft. After his retirement from the fashion business he became a full-time photographer, specializing in family and children's black and white portraits.

To further his interest in black and white photography he travelled to photograph people around the world in their local, cultural and ecological habitats. His photographs have been on permanent display at Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, on exhibit at Ryerson University Gallery and Toronto Western Hospital, and in an Oxfam exhibition called "Faces of the Global Village".

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020.
