Mary (Maria) was born on August 1, 1943 in Ustianowa, Ukraine at the end of the war.
Early in her life, the borders changed, and Ustianowa became part of Poland, so the small family moved to Stariawa.
She was 16 years old when she immigrated to Canada with her mother and grandmother on February 6, 1960, to reunite with her father!
Mary graduated from High School, secured an excellent job in a law office, fell in love with Lubomir Dziadyk, and was married within five years of coming to Canada.
Mary Buczok-Dziadyk was a devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved grand and great grandmother. They have three children, Steven (Bev), Paul (Didi), and Christine (Chris), six grandchildren (Michael, Amanda, Kelsi, James, Alexandra, and Roman) and two great-grandchildren (Max and Barron).
Mary had a successful career with the Etobicoke Board of Education and retired to enjoy her grandchildren. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Demetrius Catholic Church and a faithful Catholic.
Mary was a gentle soul who worked very hard. She united our families, fed our hearts, minds (and stomachs) with unconditional love, and showed us how to be resilient in the face of hardship.
Our loving Mama and beloved Baba are resting in peace now.
