Di POCE, Carmine - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmine Di Poce on November 22, 2020.
Born January 21st, 1934 in Sora, Frosinone, Italy, he immigrated to Canada in 1954.
Although Carmine was in his 86th year, he was still young at heart and loved spending his days working in the garden with his beloved wife of 66 years, Maria Pia (née Iafrate).
Carmine selflessly devoted his life to providing and caring for his family. Aside from his children and grandchildren, his pride and joy were his gardens at both his home in Toronto, ON and cottage in Tiny Beaches, ON.
Son of Domenico Di Poce and Maria Domenica Di Poce (née Bifolchi). One of many siblings, he leaves behind his loving sister Anna and his brother Francesco. Devoted father to Antonino, Mirella, Romina, Nadia and Gianpaolo. Loving Nonno to Natasha, Cassandra, Alexandra, Stefania, Frank-Anthony, Adrian-Carmine, Anthony, Emily and Carmen. Cherished Father-in-law to Francesco, Roberto, Maggie and Chris.
A private family service is being held on Friday, November 27th with interment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. We do understand that there are many who would like to pay their respects, but due to current restrictions, are unable to do so. It is the family’s intention to hold a Celebration of Life when restrictions are lifted.

In Lieu of flowers and expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society, Diabetes Canada and Canadian Autism Society.
