Wisnioski ElizabethWISNIOWSKI, Elizabeth - Elizabeth Wisniowski was born September 3, 1924. She passed away peacefully on November 22, 2020. She was 96.

Elizabeth immigrated to Canada from Germany in the 50s with late husband Jan Anthony. They were married for 47 years before Jan's passing. She was 8 years older than our dad, she was always proud of that. Lol

Elizabeth's most selfless accomplishment was adopting two children, but she never bragged about it or even told people. To her, we were her children, and she was our mom. End of story. She gave 2 unrelated babies the gift of family and lifelong siblings to each other.

Elizabeth loved music, she played harmonica, she liked cooking, knitting and coffee and she especially loved dogs. She loved family get togethers!

In her later years, Elizabeth developed dementia which made her ridiculously happy. She loved to laugh, to joke, she was feisty and if she didn't like something, she'd be sure to say something. Elizabeth loved the staff and the residents at her nursing home, they became her friends, it became her home.

Favourite sayings: "Don't do what I wouldn't do," "Whatever," and she called everyone, Bubalee!

She will be missed by son Jan Peter Wisniowski, daughter in law Teresa Wisniowski, daughter Ursula Howard Sellitto (Shotsy), son in law Osvaldo Sellitto and granddaughter Krista Howard, niece Angelie Horseling. Also missed by Sammy, Molly and Leroy.

The family is hoping a Memorial can be held around Easter, which was always her favourite time of year. Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to animal shelters... it's something she would have encouraged.

"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her!" Proverbs 31:26-28
