Gordon CarolynGORDON, Carolyn Joan (nee FERGUSON)  -  June 9, 1957 – December 26, 2020

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carolyn Joan Gordon (nee Ferguson) in her 63rd year; peacefully and with family by her side at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carolyn is survived by her father Walter Ferguson of Guelph, son Adam (Nisha) Gordon and grandson Rohan of Oakville, sister Janet Ferguson of Guelph, ex-husband but lifelong friend Andrew Gordon of Guelph and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Ferguson, brother Andrew Ferguson and daughter Sarah Sutherland who she tirelessly supported through a long struggle with cystic fibrosis.

Born in Port Colborne, Carolyn was raised in various cities owing to her father's shifting assignments with the OPP, before eventually settling in Guelph.

This was especially true of her grandson Rohan who brought her great joy.

On behalf of Carolyn, the family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses who supported her throughout her journey, in particular the palliative care team at CVH for their care and compassion in her final days.

A private cremation has taken place and plans for a celebration of life will be made when all can gather safely.

In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make memorial donations to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a cause near to Carolyn's heart.
