MESLIN, Lina Olga - 1931 - 2020 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lina on December 22, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph, stepmother of Leon (Evelyn Truty) and the late Zena Miller (Alan), and mother of Jo-Anne (Danny Caine) and Davia (Vicky McCann).
She will be sorely missed by her granddaughters Aimee Russell (Asher Smith) and Samantha Russell, as well as step-grandson Nathan Caine, and great grandson Aiden Bailey.
She is survived by older brother Claude Rosselet (France). Lina is fondly remembered as being an unconventional, strong, independent, adventurous, resilient, generous, gentle, grounded, extremely kind, caring, welcoming, smart, handy and resourceful woman.
She worked as a teaching assistant with the TDSB until her retirement and co-ran the arts and crafts program at Camp Maple Glen for many years.
In lieu of flowers, and in the memory of Lina, donations may be made to the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (https://tgwhf.ca/programs/heart/) or to the World Wildlife Fund (https://www.worldwildlife.org/).
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Lina's life will occur at a later time.
