Delorenzo RockyDELORENZO, Rocco 'Rocky' Donato - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rocco (Rocky) Don Delorenzo, of Toronto, Ontario. Rocky passed away quietly in the hospital due to medical complications on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at the age of 86.

Devoted husband of Zoe of 31 wonderful years.

Proud father of Agnes (Cosmo), Josie (Erik) and Mark (Tianna). Cherished Nonno of Rachela, Matthew, Gianluca, Natalie, Justin and Daniel.

Loving brother to Giovannina, Vincenzo, Giulia, Antonio, Maddalena, Giovanni, Maria, Stella, Carmine.

Rocco earned his nickname “Rocky” in the Italian Navy where he was an avid Boxer.

Rocky immigrated to Canada in 1957 at the age of 23. His auto body repair career started in 1960 as a Body Repair Man at Allied Auto Paint. Rocky obtained his Body Repair License in 1962 and in 1963 Rocky became the shop Estimator at Allied.

Rocky had dreams to become self-employed and in 1965, Ryding Auto Body was born in a small garage attached to his home. Rocky expanded his business and moved to a larger location in Etobicoke in 1973. Rocky wasn’t done learning yet and in 1976, he received his mechanical repair license.

Rocky believed in quality service, experience and integrity are the key stone to a successful business and happy customers. In 1981 and 1999 Ryding Auto Body continued to expand and moved twice to a larger locations in Toronto. Ryding Auto Body on Castlefield Ave. is still what Rocky and employees consider home.

Rocky will be fondly remembered for his radiant smile, and warm laughter. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

"Forever loved, always remembered. We love you."

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and entombment will be private.  We thank you for your understanding and encourage you to provide your condolences to the family through his memorial page on the website of Ward funeral homes, Woodbridge chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in the Name of Rocco Delorenzo be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
