Viglianti ItaloVIGLIANTI, Italo - (June 4, 1933 - January 17, 2021)

Italo Viglianti, 87, of Mississauga, Ontario (Born Terracina, Lt. Italy). Arrived in Canada, by ship, in February 1955 to marry his sweetheart Giustina Violo in April 1955.

Together they built their family life in Mimico, Ontario. After their hard work at Tip Top and Chubb, they decided to
open their own Business aka “Tina’s Variety Shoppe," on 362 Royal York Road, Mimico Ontario, December 4, 1958.

After a few years hard work was paying off, they purchased the store next door when it went up for sale and
together, working diligently without a cause and a love of interaction with people, they grew and grew.

They had a beautiful life of entertaining their friends & family. Spoiling the nieces and nephews. They travel back to their roots in Italy.

Italo enjoyed spending time hunting with his best friend, dog Brandy, and spent many good times fishing and hunting with friends and later with son Cesare.

After much anticipation, in 1970, they realized their dream of family being blessed with their daughter Joanne and 2 years later, a son, Cesare. Their life was now complete !

They treasured the family life, raised their family over the store at 362 Royal York Road, Toronto.

Later in the 70’s, they moved to Mississauga, Ontario to their dream home with backyard for kids, and their much love garden with Figs, pear, apple trees and a garden envied by family and friends, vegetables you could only dream of.

There were so many highlights and trips taken, we loved to share over the years with all our dear friends and family. Thank you for the good times... Take care...

This year, Italo spent time healing from a broke hip, and slowly became less mobile.
Sadly today we share this sad news...
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family in his dear son Cesare’s arms, with Tina, aka Giustina, at his side, his loving wife, best friend, sweetheart of 65 years.

Italo leaves behind his cherished daughter Joanne, adored grandsons Brandon, Italo Jr, Ivan, Aiden, Peyton. Italo is survived by his dear brother Dominico of Italy, predeceased by parents Cesare and Celeste Viglianti, siblings Italia, Santina, Carlo, Giovanino, Raffaele of Terracina, Italy.

Dear son in law of the late Giuseppe and Annunziata Violo. Predeceased by brothers in law Gino, Oreste, Antonio, sister in law Antoniette, and their respective spouses and families.
