PERSAUD, Dr. Pooran - It is with great sadness we announced that Dr. Pooran Persaud of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on January 30, 2021 at the age of 76.
He was the dear husband of Shani (Indira).
Beloved father of the late Vish Persaud.
Brother of Dood Lakraj of the UK.
Cousin of Chatie, Brown, Leila, and others. Uncle of Harinarine Nawbat (Ranny), Majorie, Richard, Peggy, and others.
Brother-in-law of Gaitri Doobay, Pabitri Haricharran, Robby Persaud, Omesh Persaud and others.
He will be lovingly remembered for his great sense of humour and clever comebacks. He was a quiet and gentle person and will be terribly missed by all, especially his dearest wife Shani.
May his soul rest in peace.
Due to COVID restrictions, the visitation and funeral services will be held privately by invitation only. While the family wishes you could all be with them in their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences.
