RUBIN, Ann (Hannah) (nee David) - (January 6, 1926 – February 1, 2021) - Late on Monday evening, February 1st, having celebrated her 95th birthday on January 6th, 2021.

Most cherished wife of the late Issie Rubin. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Debbie Talker, Steven and Rosanne Rubin. Very proud Bubbie of Ian Talker, Jordan Talker, Erin Rubin and Corey Bricks, and Seth Rubin.  Over-joyed great-grandmother of Kenzie Ross.

Daughter of the late Tillie Mirsky and the late Simon David.  Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Florence and the late Moe Garfinkle and Jean David and the late Bernard David.

Ann was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia. In 1956, she married her dear husband, the late Issie Rubin, thereafter moving to Montreal to raise their family.

To her children, she will be remembered for her loving and giving nature and her strength during Issie’s many bouts of illness and after his untimely passing at the age of 67.  To her grandchildren, she will be remembered for her profound love of reading, watching sports, and baking (especially her delicious cinnamon cookies and Babka).

Ann had a warm, kind and generous nature.  In spite of being a bit of an introvert, once she got to know you, you would be treated to her wonderful and sometimes wicked sense of humour.  Though Ann will be missed, she will forever be affectionately remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, extended family and friends.

Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed…

Private Family Service arrangements entrusted with Steeles Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be live streamed Wednesday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at https://smclive.ca/

Memorial donations may be made to Magen David Adom https://www.cmdai.org/en/content/10-donate-now or Jewish National Fund https://jnf.ca/donate/
