Lillie GloriaLILLIE, Gloria Maude Kathleen (nee WILSON)    - Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Lillie and loving mother of Mark (Karen Fancy) and Marilyn (Wayne Laxton).

Caring grandmother of Grant and Sara; Jamison, Ryan, Matthew and Benjamin. Predeceased by her parents, Irene (nee Chivrell) and Samuel Wilson, and brother, Donald.

Gloria lived a full and happy life, always moving forward with a positive attitude and sense of adventure.

Gloria was an amazing artist and her life in art included a twenty-three year teaching career as the Head of Arts at Perdue and Blakelock High Schools in Oakville, and a successful graphic arts business which she founded and managed.

Gloria also painted for many years with the Oakville Art Society.

Gloria loved spending time at her Kawartha Lakes cottage that she and Don built, creating a lifetime of memories with family and friends, that included boating, water sports and relaxed cottage living.

Gloria will be remembered as a wonderful, dedicated mother who raised two young children alone when her husband, the love of her life, died suddenly in 1972. She will also be remembered as a loving grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Gloria enjoyed her independence and thanks to many caregivers, was proud to live in her home to her last days.

The family will not be having a funeral service at this time due to the pandemic, but plan to have a glorious wine and cheese party in Gloria's honor at a future date.
