BARNES, David - Peacefully surrounded by love, David Barnes, also known as Super Dad, passed away on February 1st, 2021, at the age of 59.
David always had a smile on his face, a joke on his lips and he was endlessly optimistic.
David was an inspiration to all who knew him and even when facing his battle with cancer, he embodied courage, bravery, and positivity (all Super Hero qualities). In the last 12 hours before he passed, in his own words, he said he was feeling “marvellous."
David will be greatly missed by his wife Melanie, his daughters Kristen and Amanda, his step-daughters Thais and Sjorland, his loving mother Jill and his sisters Linda and Kimberly.
In addition, he will be missed by his nephews and nieces Brian (Torch), Caitlin, Alexandria, and Brayden, his brother in-law Joe, his Aunt Betty, his cousins Chris, Sean and Kendall and all the rest of his family.
To his friends and work colleagues, David also known as Barnzee, has had as big of an impact on their lives as they did on his.
It brings peace to our hearts to know that he is with his dad Doug (Guod) and his Uncle Barry.
He was loved by all and he will be missed every day!
Arrangements entrusted with Ogden funeral home, Scarborough. His Celebration of Life will be held on a later date when we can all get together and share our love!
