Ward AliceWARD, Alice Theresa (nee DONOVAN)  - (October 10, 1929 - February 3, 2021)

Alice Ward passed away peacefully, on February 3, 2021.

Predeceased by her loving husband Donald Ward, she is survived by her beloved children Donald (Patricia), John (Lisa), Mary (John) and Anne (Mark).

She will be greatly missed by her 10 grandchildren whom she adored: Steven, Matthew, David, Jeffrey, Kiana, Emma, Sarah, Mariel, Robert and Tessa as well as by her surviving siblings Jerry and Josephine.

Alice emigrated from Ireland and met and married Don in 1959.

She spent many years at home raising her children which she thoroughly enjoyed. She later worked at the TCDSB as a school secretary.

Alice was an avid reader and loved nothing more than a cup of tea and great conversation. She enjoyed taking night school courses and attending religious retreats.

Her faith was always the central tenet of her life. Her joy, always her family.

Other than a brief period in the hospital before she passed away, Alice lived in the family home for 57 years.

Following a private family service at Annunciation Catholic Church, she will be laid to rest in Thornhill.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held at a future date for all family and friends who wish to attend.

Those wishing to may make a donation in Alice's memory may do so to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

We would like to thank family and friends for their support and assistance especially during our Mom's final years.

Most of all we would like to thank Alice, our Mom and Grandmother, for her tremendous love and devotion to her family throughout her life. We love you Mom.

Rest in peace.
