Kanakaratnam MarjorieKANAKARATNAM, Marjorie Winifred - (May 19, 1930February 5, 2021) - Safe in the Arms of her Jesus.

She is survived by her beloved children Ranjan, Tania, Kumar, Mahen and Maya, her grandchildren Christopher, Jay, Jacintha, Josh, Marcus and Kathleen as well as her surviving siblings Lois, Esther and Daphne and sister-in-law Bertha.

Marjorie served her community as a nurse for 45 years in both Sri Lanka (24 years) and Canada (21 years). Upon retirement she continued her vocation by volunteering at Branson Hospital.

She was a devout Christian who was a faithful member of St. Theodores of Canterbury, Willowdale.

Other than a brief period prior to passing away, Marjorie lived in her beloved home for 45 years. Marjorie leaves behind much loved nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and her church community.

Following a private family funeral at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, Thornhill, she will be laid to rest at York Cemetery next to her Mom.
