Vourlas KoulaVOURLAS, Kyriakoule 'Koula' - (1928 - 2021) - Koula passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, February 4, 2021.

She is survived by her son Anastasios (Christine) and her grandson Nicholas. She is also survived by her sister Kiki (Taki) and her nephews Laki (Theodora) and Nick (Eva), grand nephew Panayioti and grand niece Vasiliki.

Koula rejoins in eternal life her husband Charalambe, her parents Nicolas and Eugenia Dragoneas, and her brothers Vageli and Mimi.

Koula came to Canada in 1956 from Kalamata, Greece, to join her fiance, Charalambe. They were married at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Bond St., where they later baptized Anastasios. Koula developed a career as a custom fashion designer and, in her later years, worked in retail sales for Simpson's, Yorkdale, which eventually became the Bay.

Koula will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to family and friends. She enjoyed nothing more than entertaining them all at her home and seeing them enjoy the meal she had prepared. Koula also maintained close contact with family and friends in Greece and the United States by phone calls and visits. Always keeping close track of the Church calendar, Koula never forgot to call to wish a friend a happy Nameday.

Flowers, or a donation to a charity of your choice in Koula's name, would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

PRIVATE Arrangements entrusted with Kane-Jerrett funeral home, Thornhill. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 9th, 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, February 10th, 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Bond St., Toronto.
