Holmes JaneLMES, Jane Marion  - Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, February 7, 2021 in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of the late Barry Holmes.

Loving mother of Pamela Buttery (Brian) and Marcus Holmes and daughter-in-law Andrea Buttery (Phil). Sister-in-law to Don Holmes (Judy).

Cherished grandmother of Claire (Julien) and Anna.

Sister of the late Douglas Cook (Pat).

Aunt of Angela, Kenneth Holmes and David, Elizabeth (late), Barbara, and Andrew Cook. Jane will be dearly missed by her many close friends in Toronto, Cobourg, and British Columbia.

Special thanks to the Northumberland EMS and the doctors and nurses at Northumberland Hills Hospital and Peterborough Regional Hospital.

Jane was born and raised in Toronto, the daughter of Arnold and Irene Cook (née Wells), and worked as a school administrative assistant for the Toronto Board of Education for 30+ years.

Upon retirement, Jane moved to Brighton with her husband Barry, where they established The Apple Route B&B.

Following the death of her husband, Jane moved to Cobourg and made a whole new circle of friends.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a celebration to honour her memory will be held at a later date.

A private family interment ceremony will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto in the spring.

Memorial donations to the Northumberland Humane Society or Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre would be appreciated.
