MEEKINS, Spencer George - May 27, 1927 - January 30, 2021
Peacefully, aged 93, at home in Mississauga.
Predeceased by his wife and companion of 71 years, Margaret.
Sadly missed by daughters Joyce Winger (John) and Mary Stewart (Gregor).
Proud grandfather to David, Adam and Jaclyn Winger and Joshua Stewart of Georgetown.
Born in England, George trained in the British Army during WWII, then served in Jamaica.
He moved to Toronto in 1948, serving 27 years on the Toronto Police force and 11 years as a security guard at Continental Can.
He was proud to be a Mason for 63 years: Past Master of St. Clair Lodge #577, and a member of Anniversary and West Gate lodges, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Royal Arch, Eastern Star and Rameses Shriners.
He enjoyed the fun and fellowship, attending many dances and events with his wife and family.
Dad leaves a great void in our lives. Pip pip old chap.
Cremation has taken place.
Donations would be appreciated to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Montreal.
