Georgievski AlekGEORGIEVSKI, Aleksandar "Alek" "Alex" "Cane" "Dr G" - Passed away peacefully on February 12, 2021.

Son of Mihailo and Bena Grujovich, predeceased by sister Milica.

Survived by his loving wife Helen "Elka", brother Risto (Dobrila), daughter Susan (Stephen) and son Emil (Claudie), adored Dedo of Ryan (Rashmi), Daniel, Jolianne and Zacharie.

Aleksandar was born November 9th, 1926 in Krstoar, near Bitola, Macedonia. After interruptions to high-school with a year spent in the army during WWII, he entered the Faculty of Medicine at Skopje University graduating in 1951. He subsequently obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the School of Medicine at Zagreb University in 1953.

Aleksandar was deeply involved in the Macedonian community in Toronto and played an active role in the establishment of the first Macedonian Orthodox church in Canada in 1962 - St Clement of Ohrid.

His family is grateful for the wonderful support and care provided by the Wexford Residence doctors, nurses, personal support workers and staff who looked after Aleksandar and ensured his comfort and well-being throughout his stay there.

A small private funeral service will be held at St Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church with interment following.
