He worked at Motorola for some years and ended up at Seneca College where he taught until his retirement.

George and Cathy moved to Zephyr after his retirement, where they built their dream house.

He remained there after Cathy's death until he moved to Hamilton in 2017.

His biggest interest outside of his family and work was ham radio (VE3 DGX) which led to his participation in a WHO expedition to Easter Island in 1964.

George was predeceased by his wife, Cathy, who he had been married to for 58 years. Loving father of Catherine (Ed), Barbara (Joe), Eric (Kelly), Dot (Allyn) and Alan (Alice).

Proud grandpa of Robby, Toby, Danielle, Holleigh, Dean, Sunny, and Ronnie and great-grandpa to Reuben, Dolly and Elisabeth, James, and Dominic, Dimitri and Talia.
