ROMANO, Michele - It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Michele Romano on March 9, 2021 at the age of 89.
He is now reunited in heaven with his predeceased wife of over 67 years, Annunziata.
Michele will be sadly missed by his children Caterina, Graziano (Lucy), Mary (Ferdinando) and Anna (Filippo) and his grandchildren, Annette (Denny), Loreto, Robert, Steven (Taylor), Mark, Anthony, Michael, Laura, Nancy, Christina and his great grandchildren Elena and Olivia.
He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph (Marisa) and Pasquale and sisters Maria Teresa, Antonietta & Giovanna.
Remembered fondly as “Gentleman” for being honourable and showing kindness and generosity to everyone he would meet.
He loved his family and taught us respect, humility and to live a religious life.
Visitation at Bernardo Funeral Home, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Thursday, March 11th, 2021. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, relatives and friends must reserve a time slot for visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Catholic Church 100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge on Friday, March 12th, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. The funeral mass will be live streamed and you can participate virtually. A private entombment will follow.
In memory of Michele, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario and St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation.
