Liut AnthonyLIUT, Anthony - (July 7, 1999 - March 8, 2021) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Anthony at the age of 21.

Cherished son of Paul and Daniella, and older brother to Matthew. Beloved grandson of Grace Liut and the late Carlo Liut, and the late Frank and Anna Podwojski.

Dear nephew to Marco and Rose Liut, John Liut (Godfather), David Liut and Monika Kaminska, Irene and Andy Skretas, and Jeanette Podwoski-Audette (Godmother) and Claude Audette.

Anthony’s passing leaves a hole in the heart of his aunt Irene Gorman, his cousins Carlo and Olivia Liut, and Peter and Christine Skretas and his loving girlfriend Alexandra Ancimer.

His love of family knew no bounds; one couldn’t have asked for a kinder and gentler son and big brother. It’s that genuine warmth that drew people to him and he will be forever missed by family and friends who felt the joy he brought as he entered a room with an over-the-top greeting and warm hugs.

Imaginative, curious and fearless from a young age; as a boy he was convinced he was Spider Man, jumping and swinging off of everything in sight. To him, danger was meaningless. His imagination and intelligence made him a gifted storyteller and conversationalist. He brought light to each interaction, and the smiles and laughs followed shortly thereafter.

As Anthony grew into a young man, his passion for music emerged. He composed original songs with lyrics that showed a maturity beyond his years. Even among his friends, he was known as “the dad," looking out for everyone and never leaving a man behind. Honourable and loyal, he was ready to drop things to help his friends, even if it meant sacrificing his own needs. We would all have been proud of the man Anthony would have become if he had the chance to blossom.

We will fondly remember Anthony, but our family is profoundly broken by the senselessness of this tragedy. There are no words to describe the grief brought on by a young life full of promise cut short.

In lieu of flowers we request donations be made to the Credit Valley Hospital Emergency Unit.

Visitation arrangements are entrusted with Ward funeral home, Woodbridge chapel. (RSVP with the funeral home and note that Covid restrictions apply).

Church funeral service will respect the current situation and pandemic restrictions for gatherings, and a  LiveStream link will be provided from the funeral home website at the time of service.

His entombment will be private.
